Welcome to my story of starting Life Ring Web Services and my mission goal with this business!

All explained in a classic elementry way.

I’m Jason the owner and operator of Life Ring Web services. I started this as a way to deeper my skills of business and to contribute more of my talent to small business and sole traders out there in and around New Zealand who need help with building their online presence.

I have extensive background training and real world knowledge of websites, how they work and have taught myself it is not always the big and flashy everyone needs but usually a sharp and fit to purpose full solution which I believe I am more than capable of providing to my clientele.

What is Life Ring Web Services? Well to put it simply a website and web services business but I would like to think it more of a consultation service for most of my clients I am offering insights into how they can improve what they have and sometimes doing the work myself.

Most people out there already have a website and are either financially locked into it or not ready to give up on what they have just forked out on but is not performing as they hoped, there is still a lot that can be done in this situation.

I have been working on computers and programming since being a young lad but started my professional qualifications in 2018 and graduating top of class 2020.

Since then I have been working freelance and at my main job as Technical Operations Manager at Grow My Business – I’ll say one of the best if not the best website companies out there. If your project is bigger than my standard scope you will be most likely referred here to my lovely boss Iona.

It all started in Wellington, my family home where I got an old scrap computer that I managed to fix and start my illustrious career of being a bit of a nerd. Since then I have not moved far, bounced around the suburbs but have kept myself located in the capital.

While I remain in the capital of New Zealand I offer my services NZ wide and in some cases overseas but my expertise is especially honed into the NZ market.

The how… it really depends on you – the client. This is always the key factor but I can reiterate how I make sure from my end what keeps my websites ready and working.

I use WordPress with a modern and future proof tech stack that uses open source assets where possible to keep the final cost to my clients down while maintaining the quality of a website 4x the price.

Sales-first design
While I am qualified as a UX/UI designer from Yoobee school of design my real passion lies within the backend of sites with key focus on search engine optimisation, AI optimisation and performance which are all important and often overshadowed by design-first websites.

My websites always ship SEO and AI optimised for the ever changing world of getting your site seen online with a rock solid base this is great to set and forget or get taken up by a marketing company to take it to the next level.
